We are a country of dreamers — of people who long to achieve the much sought after American Dream of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, which we are taught from a young age is possible for any of us. What makes us American is our united dream, whether we were born here, in another country, or have family members who weren’t born here.

Many of our most prized authors in this country come from families outside the U.S. So when the president rescinded #DACA last week, putting thousands of young dreamers living in this country at risk for being deported, we decided to share some amazing books we wouldn’t have had the opportunity to read if not for the immigrants that enrich society.
