Can you believe? The Fab Five have expanded into the book world with a fantastic new title that, frankly, we all need right now. Calling all readers to be true to themselves and embrace self-love, we’ve been inspired to share some advice on making sure your inner reader is well cared for.

Queer Eye in NYC

On November 27th at Symphony Space, Bobby Berk, Karamo Brown, and Tan France celebrate the publication of their new book Queer Eye: Love Yourself. Love Your Life. They’ll be chatting with the show’s Executive Producer David Collins about the book, which is an all in one behind-the-scenes exclusive, a practical guide to living and celebrating your best life, and a symbol of hope. Your ticket to the event includes a copy of Queer Eye: Love Yourself. Love Your Life, so do something shamazing for you and grab a ticket now.

1. Say ‘Yas’ to New Genres

Maybe you’re a sucker for a good Fantasy series, or you’re seriously dedicated to Non-Fiction. Try exploring outside your genre and you may find a whole new world of books to enjoy. Here are a few suggestions to get you started.

2. Books Also Make Amazing Decor

You don’t have to completely remodel a room to make a whole new space. Try rearranging your books by color, height, or style to give a room a stylish look while being surrounded by the titles you love. Need some inspiration? Check out Books By The Foot. They know what’s up.

3. It’s Okay to Walk Away

If you are stuck on a book that is just not vibing with you, it’s okay to put it down and move on to something else. If you are more of the mindset that you have to finish any book you start (same), don’t think of it as a goodbye. You can always try again later when you’re in a different head space.

4. Find Readers Who Get You

Okay, so, sometimes finishing a book can be the best and worst. It sucks that the journey is over, but now you can talk to everyone about it! Find a book club, either irl or online, so you can properly express those feelings with the people that get you most.

5. Ask A Bookseller

If you find yourself in a reading rut, ask your favorite local indie booksellers 😉 what they’d recommend. There is a whole community of book lovers out there that would love to help you! Seriously, we love when you ask for recommendations. Another option is to seek out what your go-to authors are reading. We have these lists from Gloria Steinem, Markus Zusak, Adam Silvera and so many more to give you a boost. You got this.

If you like what you read, give us a 👏 so other readers can enjoy it too!
