He visited the Strand Bookstore just before his live-streamed release party at his Williamsburg apartment with Rookie Mag founder Tavi Gevinson, Refinery 29 fashion editor Laia Garcia, fiance/photographer Mitchell Kuga, artists Grace Miceli and Fabiola Lara, and friends. What is your latest book?
Things Are What You Make of Them: Life Advice for Creatives
First thing you ever wrote?
I once attempted to write Harry Potter fanfic lmao.
What did you edit out of this book?
There was a chapter about “being your own boss” that was a little too niche. Lots of cursing stayed in?
What was your dream job as a child?
I just wanted to get a boyfriend.
Best advice?
Things are what you make of them (literally).
