Quiz: What Type of Book-Loving Traveler Are You?
There are many joys in traveling. Seeing new places, reuniting with old friends, playing the classic “will my suitcase close?” game. But we know that the BEST part about traveling is all the reading time along the way. All those hours spent in transit can be wasted on those that don’t know a good reading opportunity when they get one. For example, a flight delay shouldn’t be annoying, that’s time for 4 more chapters! Driving across Pennsylvania is practically enough time to read a whole novel. Taking a charter bus? That is one long read-a-thon. And the train isn’t being “held because of train traffic ahead”, it’s so you can read the final pages of your current obsession!
The only struggle in traveling, really, is actually choosing what book(s) to take with you. Do you go for one big book or several short ones? Do you finally finish that series you started last year or pick up a new release? We’ve devised a test that can help.
For example, are you The Enthusiast? Dedicated to new releases, you love being in the know about the latest buzzworthy book. Or perhaps you are The Speed Reader. You read fast and often and will probably finish at least one book before you even get to your destination. Maybe you are The Observer, leaning towards the visually stimulating you love flipping through pages at bookstores and are always a sucker for good jacket design. Or are you The Committed? You only have eyes for one book this season and things are about to get serious.
Which Kind of Reading Traveler Are You? Take the quiz to find out.
Traveler Pro-Tip: The average book weighs about 1–2 pounds, so ideally your carry-on bag could have, like, 20 books in it! Happy reading!
