Having hosted Steidl Week, a 4-day celebration of the incomparable German Photography Publisher, for the past two years, we are continuing the tradition by hosting the 3rd annual Steidl Week Monday November 27th through Thursday November 30th!

At Steidl Week, there will be signings, exclusive early releases, lectures and more, only at Strand. The inaugural event of the week will be hosted by founder Gerhard Steidl in a discussion titled “Why Physical Things Matter in a Digital World” featuring Peter Badge and Marc Pachter. The talk will be followed by a light reception and book signing with Peter Badge. A talented roster of artists and photographers continue the festivities all week long. Monday, November 27

Monday at 7 PM, the exacting German photography publisher Gerhard Steidl discusses the importance of books for “Why Physical Things Matter in a Digital World.” He will be joined by two artists from the Steidl table, Marc Pachter and Peter Badge, author and photographer of Nobel Heroes, his project to photograph every living Nobel Laureate. Tuesday, November 28

Tuesday at 6 PM, photographer Henry Wessel presents three independent bodies of work arranged in a precise sequence to allow the viewer to experience passing through each territory. His captivating work is titled Traffic/ Sunset Park/ Continental Divide. Get tickets here!

Also on Tuesday at 7:30 PM, photographer Mitch Epstein presents his latest book about the meaning of time, Rocks and Clouds. Get tickets here!

Wednesday, November 29

Wednesday at 7:30 PM, photographer Jongwoo Park discusses his latest book on the border between North and South Korea, DMZ: Demilitarized Zone of Korea with New York-based journalist, Sara Rosen. Get tickets here!

Thursday, November 30

Thursday at 7:30 PM, the acclaimed photographer of intimate nudes and landscapes, Mona Kuhn, discusses her lifetime of work, including pieces from a yet to be released collection. Get tickets here!
